The first 24 stories were created by René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo. After Goscinny's death in 1977 Uderzo continued alone and made another 7 books.
The first album was released in 1961, after the first few stories had been serialized in the French magazine "Pilote" (the first one "Astérix le Gaulois" started October 29th, 1959). The original language of all books is French.
Below you can find a list of all books and a (very) short introduction to each story.
