Introduction text
Wir befinden uns im Jahre 50 v. Chr. Ganz Gallien ist von den Römern besetzt... Ganz Gallien? Nein!

Magazine editions
Asterix in German was first published in the children's magazine Lupo modern (1965/66). This serialized version was not authorized by Goscinny and Uderzo, so it was stopped after some time. Asterix & Obelix were called Siggi & Babarras and the stories were set in the cold war situation in "Germanien".
From 1967 until the middle of the 70s Asterix was serialized in the children's magazine MV Comix (called MV67 and MV68 in 1967 and 68). The translations of the first stories differ from the album versions. The later stories have the same translation.
